Mercato Experience

Last February 15, 2020, we, the Senior High School students of Asian College of Technology Bulacao Campus had an event at school. 

As an Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) student, we were tasked to sell either foods or drinks. In our section, we have decided to sell drinks such as bottled water, soft drinks, and C2. During the Mercato, I have experienced carrying the drinks from where it was placed, getting some of it and putting it in the cooler. I assisted my classmates in selling and managing the sales. Since I am also the treasurer of the class, I was the one who handled the money.

At the end of the day, when I tallied and computed the sales, I noticed that the amount does not correspond with the total quantity of the drinks sold. So, we decided to make adjustments to meet our quota and report it to our subject teacher. It was challenging, but it was a fun experience.

We already had a Mercato last school year, so it wasn't that hard during the recent Mercato, since we knew what what strategy we'll make to achieve our target sales. Overall, it was tiring, but worth our efforts especially because we have united for the last time ever since the past events that involves the whole class.
